Randomness

I know this blog is in dire need of an update. The problem? I haven't had the time lately, and I'm a bit stressed these days. The next post I did I hoped would have our family picture in it, but because we weren't able to get an electronic version, I have to scan it in. Obviously, I haven't done that yet, but I do have some really cute pictures of Kerensa outside playing that I need to put up.

So why am I stressed? That is probably too harsh of a word, but my emotions are somewhere around there. About 3 weeks ago, I learned that my boss has decided to retire and stop practicing law. This was not a huge surprise in and of itself as I always knew he wanted to cut back within a few years of my joining the firm. I had anticipated, though, being in a position to continue the practice, but for a myriad of reasons, Ryan and I have decided not to go that route. That leaves me in a position to look for another job, which is never fun! I am confident that I will find something, but I have gotten more discriminating in the type of job I would take now as opposed to when I first graduated 4 years ago. Given that the area we live has an abundance of attorneys (and hundreds graduating every year) (that's just what we need . . .), I do have some misgivings about finding that "perfect" position.

The timing is also weird because just recently Ryan and I were contemplating selling our house and using the equity to pay off at least one of our college loans. For reasons not so clear to me now, we changed our mind, painted the downstairs, and bought new furniture. Then, we learned about my precarious job situation, but we both would really like to keep our house after the improvements.

So consider yourselves updated! If you happen to live in the Inland Northwest, are looking for an awesome employee and are willing to pay me a good salary to work flexible hours, let me know. Otherwise, please keep me in your prayers.
