Kerensa turns two

Prepare yourself for quite a few pictures! Kerensa turned 2 on the 11th, and we spread our celebrations out over a few days. First, she opened presents from my parents:

As you can see, she now has proper riding gear and some things to girly up her tricycle. She got some streamers too, which aren't in the picture because we put them on later. She also got a fun little felt book. I took pictures of her opening that while I was videotaping her, and for some reason those shots are not of very good quality.

The next day she saw her first Disney movie ever as we went to see Kung Fu Panda. It was cute, and she incredibly sat through the whole movie (maybe it had something to do with the ability to munch on popcorn?). Occasionally she said "uh oh" really loud, which was funny, and hopefully we didn't disturb the people around us too much. The next day, which was Friday, we had birthday cupcake and more presents to open from Ryan's parents:

She didn't quite grasp what to do with the candles, but did not enjoy the flames going out. I relit them for her so she could watch them go out again. She got her own purse, some jewelry, and some big girl underwear (which she is not wearing yet, and I'm not sure yet when potty training will begin in earnest). We then enjoyed a nice dinner at Outback. She ate a ton! She decided she preferred the butter that came with the bread more than the bread itself and simply decided to eat out of the butter container with her fork. It was a long meal, and she managed it quite well.

As for her present from mommy and daddy, I found a dollhouse at a garage sale a few weeks ago that I thought would be perfect. It didn't have any dolls or accessories with it, so I ordered the loving family set off Walmart's website. It took awhile to come in since it was backordered, so she didn't get to play with her gift from us until this last weekend. After playing with it on and off on Saturday, it was the first thing she went to upon getting up on Sunday. So I'd say she likes it. I've taken some video of her playing with it, but I guess I haven't taken any pictures.

Happy Birthday Sweet Pea!! Words cannot even describe how my life has changed since you've come along. You definitely make the world a brighter place by your presence, and I am truly blessed to be your mommy.

Happy Birthday, Kerensa! She looks so grown up in these pictures, it's amazing. A dollhouse is a great gift, and the Loving Family is the perfect size for kids (plus they have tons of cool furniture and accessories.) We gave Katie a Loving Family dollhouse for her third birthday, and both she and Caleb have passed many hours playing with it!
