Two weeks worth of updates

I guess it's been more than two weeks! Sorry! We got a new camera that also does video, and I have been delinquent in getting pictures off it! Anyway, we have been busy! I thought you might like to see how Kerensa was dressed on Easter Sunday. She was soo cute!

She didn't really care too much for the ears and kept pulling them off! We went out for lunch afterwards with Gma and Gpa, and Kerensa spent her time watching two little girls behind us. She pretty much turned herself all the way around in the high chair. The Monday after Easter Kerensa began swimming lessons at the Y. "Swimming" is not really the right term. In actuality, I hold her in the water while the "instructor" leads us in some songs that involve splashing or bouncing or she give us props to play with like toys, kickboards, and noodles. It is really a lot of fun, and Kerensa enjoys it. It meets twice a week for five weeks. You are supposed to work up to dunking your child underwater, and I tried that this week. I dunked her three times, and she didn't really like it very much! Here are some pictures from class. We bought her a swimsuit before the second week of class, but in the first two pictures she's half-dressed!

In other news, last Sunday we discovered a tooth! Then the next day she had another one! So she has two, both on the bottom. She is doing really well with table foods and wants whatever anyone else is eating. Baby food is apparently losing its appeal. Ohhh, I can't forget that she is now literally sleeping the whole entire night, sometimes from 7 to 7. Other times she will wake at 5 to eat and then go back to sleep. It actually took me a few days to get used to having more sleep! Since I posted that she slept really well following her doctor's appointment, she has kept it up. Last but not least, she is working on standing by herself. You can see those little leg muscles really strengthening. I will have to learn how to post some video soon so you can see her in action.

"Swimming" lessons at a young age sounds like a great idea. If you remember, I didn't learn till college! :) I'm glad I did, but I'm still afraid of deep water!
