Thanks Stephanie for the tag, which gives me something to write about that doesn't require the posting of pictures or video (I actually have 2 additional short video clips that I took of Kerensa while trying to get the one in my last post that were so cute I want to upload them here). Anyway, getting back on topic, I'm supposed to post 7 random things about myself. So here goes:
1. As a working mom, it's hard to keep everything together. Three things that really help me are planning meals, having my terrific mother in law come over everyday to watch Kerensa and also to help me keep the house up, including doing the laundry (I know - I am totally spoiled here), and hiring someone to do the major cleaning every two weeks (Ryan decided I needed help here, and I didn't disagree. I've had this luxury since mid-December, and it's great!)
2. We want to take a short trip somewhere this summer. I've been thinking Seattle, but we are considering the possibility that we could even fly to Little Rock and stay with friends for about the same expense. Anyone want to put us up?
3. We have been in our current home 4 years this month. That is the longest we've lived anywhere! I do love our home and this area, but part of me still misses Arkansas, not so much the place but the people.
4. We have been following Dave Ramsey's debt snowball plan since sometime in 2005. We have knocked out several small consumer debts (that were no interest btw), one college loan, and both our cars. We have two things left: the bulk of our college loans (consolidated separately) and our house. We have a fairly sizeable debt snowball attacking the loans, but figure it will still take us between 5 to 6 years to make them disappear. As for our house, we bought at a great time, have a good interest rate, and plan to stay in it for the foreseeable future.
5. I'm running out of fuel here - going to have to throw in some work stuff! I settled a case last week for $400,000. After reading that figure, you might be thinking - "Wow, how much does she get of that settlement?" Actually, it was my client who agreed to pay $400,000. Now you are probably thinking, "Ouch, what kind of an attorney are you?!" A good one of course! The additional expense and increased exposure in moving forward would've been a much greater sum.
6. Okay this one is not about me, but about Ryan. With gas prices ever on the rise, we decided we needed to do something. Ryan's vehicle is a gas-guzzling Dodge Durango, and while we generally use it only for him to drive back and forth to work, it simply is not economical. We didn't think we could afford to trade it in for something smaller, so he bought a Kymco scooter for commuting purposes. It gets maybe 70 to 80 miles per gallon. The problem is that it still isn't warm enough here yet for him to drive it everyday, but warmer temps are coming!
7. Some of you already know this about me, but I've never talked about it on this blog before (that I recall). I play World of Warcraft . . . I'm not really the computer gaming type, but it is something Ryan and I can do together (and I also blame Paul and Katrina for their bad influence :) ). We started playing a little while before Kerensa was born, and it has turned out to be something we do (besides watch a movie) after she goes to bed. My character is a Level 69.5 Human Priest, which means I am almost to the top tier Level 70. I'd probably be there by now, but I haven't felt like playing that much in recent weeks. I think I'll dust my character off for a foray this evening.
Well, there you go - 7 things. I can't imagine having to come up with 100! I know I didn't mention the pregnancy anywhere in there, but I'm not really feeling pregnant at the moment. I'm feeling great for those of you that asked. :)

Hmmm... We're coming to Seattle in the very near future, but I doubt the commute from your house to Seattle would be much fun. So... I won't bother asking to crash at your place. However, you KNOW you have lots of friends here that will put you guys up for as long as you want to stay. So... plan your trip down here and we'll work out the lodging details later!
Great list! And I'm sure I'll see you on WoW tonight. :) (By the way, great job on the Dave Ramsey stuff! Paul and I really need to get on that train.)
You can crash at the Bewleys anytime! We'd love to see you again soon! Crazy that a trek across state would amount to about the same as a trek halfway across country!
