I am still adjusting to my new position, and while I'm still doing civil litigation, it is not the defense of personal injury suits that I've been doing. I have a broad spectrum of cases, some as plaintiff's counsel and some as defense counsel. There are two partnering attorneys and four associates (myself included). They hired another associate at the same time as me, and she started a week later than I did. So I'm not the newest newb! We took a photo for the firm website this week, and I'll post a link when it's available for those of you who are interested. I know my mom will want to see it (hi mom!).
In other news, Kerensa is getting more independent every day. You can definitely see some of Ryan's personality traits coming through. For example, if she is trying to do something (like latch a buckle or open something), she will try for a few seconds and then get frustrated. We are trying to teach her to blow kisses, and she will make the smacking sound. She hasn't gotten down blowing yet, although she has successfully used Ryan's duck call. We used to spend time outside everyday when I got home from work, but it has gotten too cold for that now. I can tell that's still what she wants to do when I get home, but hopefully we will find some fun indoor activities to do too. Here are some pics of her for all you adoring fans!
Ryan and I are prepared for the long winter, though, and have revived our WoW accounts. Thanks to Ryan and a friend of ours, I have a new desktop at home and monitor. I've only played once so far, but it was a blast. Well, no promises, but I'll try not to let too much time go by before posting another update. Thank you to all of you who prayed for me to find a new job!!

I am glad you found a new job. I have been wondering how things have been going for you guys since your last post. I hope your new job gives you the flexibility you were looking for. Kerensa is very cute. I like the water table--did you pick that instead of the sandbox?
Thanks for the update! I'm thankful you are liking your new job. It makes a huge difference, doesn't it? Your little girl is so precious!
Yeah, we didn't end up getting the sandbox, but I would've bought the water table anyway. She loves it. One of the videos I thought about posting, but it was too long shows her picking up rocks, putting them in the cup, and then putting them in the water. She really seemed to get a kick out of doing that. Thanks for your comments, and I should've let everyone know earlier that I had started a new job. It was a little exhausting getting acclimated to a new situation, though, if you know what I mean.
Hey, I'm glad to finally see a new post! :D Wondered where you were at! Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the video to play completely for me, just the first few seconds--maybe it's my connection.
Congrats on your new job--that's great! Call me sometime if you get the chance!
