Kerensa saw the pediatrician in conjunction with turning 2. It's hard to believe she doesn't have to go back until she's 3. She weighed 24'10" and is now 35 inches tall. She has jumped to the 25th percentile for weight (yeah!) and is now in the 50th percentile for height (which is a bit of a drop). She handled the shot she had to get relatively well. Is it just me or do the shots seem to get worse the older they get and the more they understand? Her vocabulary has really exploded lately, and she tries to say almost everything. One thing she won't say is cat, though. It's really funny because she will just say "meow." I know she got this from me saying "that's right" all the time with her meow because it is just too cute.
Oh, we are not potty-training yet. I thought I was going to start a little bit ago when she started showing interest. But then I bought a potty ring, and she didn't want to sit on the potty anymore (go figure). But she has gone 2x in the last several days without any prompting. So I'm not sure where to go from here, but to give lots of encouragement when she tells me she wants to go.
Her birthday was also a good time to get some professional pictures taken. Here's the ones we ordered.

I thought we just end up getting a family picture taken at Walmart and go somewhere else to have individual shots of Kerensa done because she has not done well at Walmart for awhile. We ended up lucking out with one of their better photographers, and she managed to get some great shots of Kerensa, albeit she is sitting on my lap the whole time. I'm leaned way out of the pictures, which was rather difficult given my pregnant belly. I've given in to maternity clothes now, but I wasn't then. I don't think the photographer realized I was pregnant or she might not have had me give my belly such a workout! We managed. :) Have a great week.

Kayla had a checkup today and she's now 33 inches and 23 lbs., so they are pretty close in size. They said that Kayla is 10 percentile in height and 50 in weight. She'll be 18 months in a couple of weeks. It's crazy that they're that close in size. I like the picture it is very cute and I think you look really good.
Awww...what sweet pictures! She's getting so grown up! You'll be amazed how much bigger she looks when she's sitting next to her new brother. :)
I love the pictures! So precious!
